The 5th birthday - day 1
he always manages to drag his birthday out for nearly a week. it must be his superpower. day 1 has been the party at school. 22 kids who all love cake. awesome.
I'm pretty sure that the thank-you hugs are his favorite part. he just gets this smile.
we got a cake from costco - because they make the best of course - but he had to pick the most hideous design...

I think week long birthday celebrations should be the custom.
it isn't just 5-yr-olds that love cake! birthdays should be a week long just for cake enjoyment alone (can you tell i am eating healthy?!)
Happy Birthday Fletcher! A week long birthday is awesome!! We like the Cosco and/or Sam's club cakes that are whip cream frosting the best.
Yeah, kids are awesome for dragging out their B-days like that... except Sarah still thinks her's should last all month & she's 24.
