not that I'm complaining, but it has ben hot this week in Los Angeles, and my 3rd trimester was a bad time for this to happen.
see, in the past i've had this problem.
and it's happening again.
(don't tell my husband)
"wait, but you had a bowl every night, too! you never told me you got a shake every day!"
well apparently I didn't think it was important at the time.
of course it could be a major contributor to why I gained 50 lbs during each of my first two pregnancies. (um, yikes.)
it's a good thing I've made this new budget. at least I won't be allowing myself to run down to Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone every day when I feel like it. maybe I'll still be able to keep myself from gaining 38 more pounds in the next 9 weeks.

I've only gained something like 12 lbs so far this time. A fact of which I have been inordinately proud.
Until this week. When it got so hot. And I've found myself wanting (and having, mind you) a bowl of ice cream after every. single. meal.

It HAS been hot. I've found myself at Cold Stone twice this past week. And I haven't been there in months! Yum....I say.....give the belly what it wants.
Don't forget about Diddy Reese, Kristen. Just thought I'd help. :)
I've read that pregnant women crave ice cream because they need the calcium and the ice cream makes up for it. I don't know how much it makes up, but I know it cleared my conscience.
Remember when you caught me in line at Wendy's??? I was there for the chocolate shake...I feel your pain.
LOL bad Kristen! I truly understand the craving thing, though for some reason with me it was garlic, I could not get enough garlic!
Auntie
Ice cream! Yum!!! :)
Wait wait wait... you crave ice cream when you're pregnant or nursing eh? So, um, were you pregnant/ nursing the first 20 years of our lives? Just curious.....
...coming from another soul who also gains 50 pounds. This year at Christmas Rick actually told me to stop eating the fudge. *sniff*
Don't forget the ice cream maker! ;)
I really like Erin's comment!
hahahahha!
At least you have the excuse of being pregnant. I have to have my bowl of ice cream every night regardless of being pregnant or nursing or not. Come on, Women need calcium!
When I'm pregnant I just add a bowl of cereal in the middle of the night to add even more calcium to my diet!
Our friendship just grew deeper.
Next time you are in town, we can have a slumber party at Cold Stone. I'll bring the portable DVD player for the Jane Austen flicks.
