I took Nanette to the airport today. When I got home I found she had left me a photo album full of pictures of the last 5 years.

That is so sweet. I bet you cried your eyes out!
so sad for you. I know your pain. It does get easier over time, but the yearning for each other never goes. My bff (we grew up together, went to BYU together, lived at Wymount together, and somehow ended up in MV ward together) moved to Texas a few years ago. We still scheme about how we can move together again. Cry, eat chocolate, cry some more.

I am so sorry for you both. Saying goodbye is the pits. I agree with Becky, it may get easier with time, but you still feel that emptiness in your heart. Good luck...just let the tears keep coming.
