last saturday the largest employer in my little home town went up in smoke.  130 more people in this economic depression are out of work until.... when?

the mill in another small town in Trinity county closed down in 1996. There is hardly anything left of that town now.  I hope the lumber mill can rebuild. And  quickly. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who are suffering because of this. Thankfully no one was injured.

I heard about that!! How terrible when Weaverville has been struggling to survive these past 15 years due to the environmentalists effecting the logging (even of burned timber!!). I hope that they can start the re-build and get it done by spring. At least it was going to have to slow down for the winter, maybe they can get it build over winter!!

They are planning to rebuild, which I'm glad they are doing. Really don't want to end up like Hayfork. It's so terrible though. We didn't hear about it until the day after because we were gone. (The day I was driving to Yreka)

Oh my goodness! I had no idea, I hadn't heard. Hopefully they can rebuild quickly so the town won't suffer too much.
