A Haiku to Hannah:

She brings me treasures
vintage handmade lace (and cars)
what a good weekend.

I don't have to get in the car today until 2:15. This is a minor miracle. Here I am blogging instead of driving the boys to school and the husband to work! And I've already got plans for the lace (made, we suspect, by Hannah's grandmother).

So, I wanted to see what exactly a haiku's formula was and, according to Wikipedia, it's 5,7,5.

I'm just saying...

It is beautiful lace.

Okay... I'm counting syllables now and realizing that that may be what Wikipedia is talking about... not the individual words...

Like I said...

I'm just saying...

It's still beautiful lace.

so, we are thinking the homemade lace was probably made by my great-grandmother who apparently like to knit, sew, crochet while watching... (wait for it).... professional wrestling!
