ice
yogurt
frozen fruit
a banana
a couple of tablespoons frozen apple juice concentrate
milk
we eventually realized that the juice concentrate wasn't necessary. the smoothie was sweet enough without it.
so i tried spinach in a smoothie the other day. not very much. hardly any, really.
no difference in taste.
so this morning i added a big ol' handful of the stuff - and i threw in a tablespoon of the juice concentrate, just in case. my blender can't hack this kind of blend unless there's liquid in there, so I added about a cup of orange juice (for breakfastyness).
it was actually too sweet. I may have to take out the concentrate and the yogurt next time.
so maybe i will actually end up going "green". It's all about the baby steps.

That is a totally good idea and actually doesn't sound half bad.
Melissa has been trying to get me to try. I can't seem to get over the mind block... but now that there is someone I know who has tried it, maybe.
There's a whole book about sneaking in healthy food, right? Good for you!
Green smoothies are so good (and filled with tons of nutrition). I love them.
One of my favorite things to add to them is cinnamon :)
Have a lovely day!
Sounds promising, I plant spinach in our garden every summer for Rick.... he loves the stuff.
I've been throwing in spinach for about a week now too. This morning I added it to Ty's protein drink, and he didn't even notice. Hoping I can get some greens into starch man this way :)
Dwat! Foiled by that waskawy wabbit!
