we've been trying to keep ourselves busy while connor is at school. today we made a Mr. Grass Head. Fletcher fully expected the grass to grow instantly. :) But he was content with just putting the rest of my nylons on his head, as bunny ears.
to make one Mr. Grass Head:
1 pair nylons or one knee-high nylon sock
grass seed
potting soil
glue and stuff to stick on 'im.
Put some grass seed in the toe of the nylon, and then fill with enough dirt to make a round head. tie a knot in the bottom. glue stuff on for his face. set in a bowl with some water in it. put a little water on the top. set in the sun, and wait for him to grow hair!
Good times.

You poor thing. You sound so sad. How is Conner liking school though?
I don't know how you think that making a Mr. Grasshead could be sad Amber. I have to try it now. I just have no idea where you found that idea for it. Silly Kristen. :)
I didn't mean it was sad to make a Mr. Grasshead. I meant she sounds sad because she's trying to "keep busy" until Conner gets home. Like she's lost without him. That's what I meant. Silly Penelope Crackers.
That's a great idea! I'm going to have to give it a try...just as soon as I unpack the box that has my nylons in it, hmmm.
Chris is worried that Mr. Grass head's eyes will pop off when his hair starts to grow behind them. I think your grass head and nylon head are both cute!
are you guys kidding me?! You didn't do this when you were kids? at day camp? summer camp? girls camp? HELLO!
and the grass seed is only on the top so it only grows out of the top. eyes are safe. :)
